looking for a good concealed carry jacket
I'm looking for a good concealed carry winter jacket. I want something with a "pouch" on the inside for my 1911.
Any suggestions? I've been able to find this one, but Amazon is out of my size. The same company that makes it has it in my size, but I'm looking for a deal.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

I have an idea, get a really good belt and holster combination and buy whatever jacket tickles your fancy. Carrying a 1911 in a "pouch" does not sound like a smart or safe way to do it.
As for good holsters, check out simply rugged and their sourdough pancake holster. It is durable, comfortable and worth every red cent. Simpy Rugged also makes belts, match the leather if you want and then you will have a safe, efficient mode of carry that will also work when you are not wearing a jacket.Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!

I agree, belt and holster is your best bet. Most reliable system there is. Also you can use it year round, unlike a jacket which will be thrown to the side on warmer days making you unable to carry and defend yourself.
If you have a belt and holster already, great. Stick with it in my opinion. But if you feel you must have a jacket as an ADDITION, then I'm sure one of the members will be able to help you.

Shop around for a SIG Sauer SIG-TAC jacket or 3/4 length coat.
Both have ambidextrous flaps.
I carry a SIG P-245 with no issues.
Easy opening Velcro enclosures.
Pistol is carried similar to a shoulder holster.
SIG no longer carries them in their store, but they are available on the Interwebs.

On the body carry will always be more efficient and safer. Check out the Tacti-Pac holster line. It is a great way to carry a gun around your midsection without a belt. For example, I use mine when I am exercising. It is basically a belly band with a real kydex holster on it and it is very secure and stealthy.

Re: looking for a good concealed carry jacket
I second the Sig Tac jacket. I have had mine for several years and it has not given me any problems. The Jacket does have some wear mark from my seatbelt but that took many years.
BTW Pachella Arms in Boyertown carries the Sig tac jacket! 610-367-6126.
On a side note for winter wear the Jacket is warm. I ride my Motorcycle in it as well as other outdoor things. The quality is that of a Carhart jacket. My Pistol has never fallen out. The concealment area is very spacious and big enough that it held my 50AE desert Eagle! (I did that just to see if I could not for street carry)Last edited by Daycrawler; November 13th, 2014 at 06:38 AM.
