    I've never really looked that close at his gun before, but he appears to have a barrel nut not unlike a Dan Wesson barrel on the front, although his frame appears to be closer to a Smith than an a Dan Wesson.

    That's the way S&W is doing some of the barrels now. It is somewhat similar to the Dan Wesson design, but not user-changeable.
