New addition to collection

Its been a while since I have posted here.

I picked up a new firearm this weekend. It is a Hawes Western Marshal Sixshooter .22 caliber. I picked this up in a little shop we came across while out for a drive. It looks in great condition. I have not had a chance to take it out to test it.

It's a used gun? Looks in great condition from the pics. I don't see a ring on the cylinder, so it might not have been fired much.

I've heard good about Hawes. I'm thinking it was that Hawes is the importer and the guns are made by someone else. Sig, FN, Beretta ect.ect. I might be wrong too. Still a good score no matter what.

From the research I have found. Hawes had this manufactured in Germany by JP Sauer and Sohn. It was also manufactured from 1968 to 1980. I am not a 100% sure as to when mine was manufactured but there is a 68 imprinted on the barrel.

From what the shop owner told me was it has been test fired but not used. Everything seems to work great. I hope to head out either today or tomorrow to pick up some ammo. I will let you guys know how it goes.
