Philadelphia OC 7 November - Five Guys encounter

So I had an emergency service call at Curtis (Locust St@Rittenhouse) yesterday morning (I service and restore pipe organs) and then a couple service calls/client meetings in Ambler. On my way north out of the city two interesting things happened:

1. I stopped to fuel up at the Sunoco (I think it's a sunoco?) on Ridge, right off Kelly drive. Stepped out of the vehicle and virtually every other customer gave me the "hairy eyeball." Then a PPD expressway patrol SUV pulls up just as I'm about to walk inside to get something to drink. I think to myself, "oh crap, here we go." I was right next to the officer and he never even looked at me. Whew. Sorry, maybe that story wasn't as interesting as I had thought

2. Headed up to Five Guys to pick up lunch. I saw that someone sitting near the door noticed I was carrying. Got my burger and all, and as I was on the way out, he waved me over and asked, "Hey man, you on PAFOA?" He told me his screen name but I'll be jiggered if I can remember it.

Yeah, man, I'm on PAFOA!

I was carrying my P938, which has been my companion pretty consistently the last few weeks.

Short and sweet encounter... Out and about with the wifey, stopped in Claire's in Roosevelt Mall in Philly and while there an employee came up to me...
Him: is that a taser?"
I responded, "no, it's a 9mm"
Him: a what?
Me: a firearm.
Him: oh ok cool.

I then offered him one of or gun rights pamphlets with he accepted and put next to his register.

Haha, only my 2nd weekend of OC so not yet. But I can almost taste the impending boot heel on my face.

I guess I carry semi-concealed. I use an OWB holster and extra mag pouch, but with shirts long enough to cover it. I'm not worried if it shows though.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it either. I use an IWB most of the time because it's more comfortable for me. Concealment is just an added bonus.
