    Default PSA PA10 build?

    I have been looking at the Palmetto state armory .308 parts and I was wondering if anyone on our forum has built one yet.

    Let me know if you guy have had any experience.

    If you venture in on over to the Variants section of ARFCOM there are at least two or three threads about it. Some yay, some nay.

    Here's one.

    Thanks. It sounded a little worse than I expected.

    It is a good thing that there are so many options for .308 builds now.

    IMO, this is the first time I'd say skip the PSA. They dragged their feet on a release, Aero beat them to it for a budget upper/lower, and PSA came out with one that actually cost more. On top of that, initial lowers could not accept Geissele triggers. PSA dropped their price and now has PTAC .308 parts (which I'd be willing to bet are all the lowers that could not not accept the triggers).

    Only only issue I know with Aero is the fact their upper can't accept new BCM charging handles. You can file/sand down the tabs on the charging handle it will be good to go.

    Too soon for me to consider one. Maybe in the future if everything gets worked out. Honestly from what I have been seeing with the AR-10 type rifles, things are a clusterfuck. More standardization needs to be done IMO.

    I built a DPMS about two years ago and it was very difficult to find some parts like handguards but now there seems to be more.

    I built a heavy barrel, now I want to go lightweight.

    Here's my headache;

    Shapiro1321, you still in need of a handguard? Maybe a low profile OD Green 15" Samson? Brand new, fresh cerakote?

    I was going to go for the PSA, but then I saw the Aero receivers for about $20 more.

    I was thinking that the PSA receivers were made by aero.

    I love the Samson evolutions and have used them on two builds and I actually had one done in od green also.

    If you are serious, I might be interested. I have the Troy on it now but I am not to excited about it.

    I'm gonna wait and see what kind of deals on receivers/BCG etc. they roll out for Festivus before I make any moves.
    I always sleep with my guns when you are gone
