untrained polling officials!!!!!
Was just told by a poll work cover up or leave and that "that" referring to my sidearm "is not allowed here"!!!!! Well I was on the phone with the election board and the guy will be corrected. He should be removed today as to not intimidate other voters that are LEGALLY carrying firearms.

Re: untrained polling officials!!!!!
My wife is a machine inspector at a local polling place. She recently attended a class for poll workers (run by the board of elections and led by an attorney). The issue of guns at the poll came up and it was specifically stated that firearms were permitted at polling places and that no election official should challenge the legality of any voter carrying.
However, they did not say anything about if the polling place was at a school - but that's been discussed here, already.
I might add that, at the last gen'l election, an OC'er showed up and my wife, just in passing, said something to the effect of, "I see you're an open carrier." The guy got all bent out of shape that she'd noticed. She told me that the gun was right at her eye level and about 2' in front of her face. She'd made no negative comment to him, just that she'd noticed.Last edited by Kurt_D; November 4th, 2014 at 01:19 PM. Reason: changed anyone to any voter

Re: untrained polling officials!!!!!
You should have carried a big black baton, attired in SWAT B.U.D. According to our esteemed US Attorney General, that would have been fine.
an OC'er showed up and my wife, just in passing, said something to the effect of, "I see you're an open carrier." The guy got all bent out of shape that she'd noticed.
I'd say that reaction serves to illustrate his real purpose for open carrying.Last edited by Bang; November 4th, 2014 at 01:18 PM.

Re: untrained polling officials!!!!!
Its OK and its grove city now have to change it. And I know for a fact the polls are not in a prohibited place. And he spouted the liberal I am on your side "I carry too" to which I responded then you should know the laws and not preach oppions based in ignorance.
