    Default H&R Topper problem

I have an old H&R .22 Hornet single shot that will not stay cocked. Cannot cock the hammer at all...I can't even figure out how to take one of these apart!

Anyone know who can fix this or help me?

These folks are into Handi's: http://www.go2gbo.com/forums/hr-centerfire-rifles/
Although this is for a trigger job it shows disassembly. http://perkloafm.com/downloads.html Look for Handi rifle trigger work.

    WHITEROOK:

If you decide to send it back to the factory, it can be complex. I can help you limp through the procedure.

If its serial number starts with a "BC" or earlier, ie: BB, BA, AB, AZ, A, U, T, etc - that company is no longer in business. THAT H&R went out of business in 1986, and the present H&R does not support or work on the prior company's products.
