Re: jury duty in Philly
Yup. They'll ask for your LTCF and copy some info from it. One of the Phila Sherrifs's Deputies will walk you to the room adjacent to the metal detector and x-ray belt. He/ she will watch as you secure our firrarm and any other weapons in the locker. You keep the key and prepare for a day of exciting activities!

Re: jury duty in Philly
Jury Duty makes me regret registering to vote. There's gotta be some way out of it. No, I don't care if its my civic duty. Make it less of a cluster fuck and I'll be glad to go waste a whole day, get paid 9 bucks, only to get dismissed after I make some speech about George Zimmerman like I did last time.

Re: jury duty in Philly
Thanx everyone. I got cold feet at the last second before leaving the house.
I DID NOT carry on that trip but I will from now on if I have to do that again.
FYI: that was the second jury selection of 2014. UGG! $18.00 barely buys 50 rounds of 9mm
So, I was early and I went to Starbucks then crossed the street to the Justice Center.
I spoke with the older Deputy there. The the one with the silver/grey beard.
I let him know I wasn't carrying anything more then my LTCF.
He was cool. Showed me the real deal.
Sometimes I'm not to stable with something until "I" physically do it myself.
But thanks to the "REGULARS" here that carry to the Court House... and to the Deputy... I am comfortable now.
My cold feet was: What if I do it wrong? What if they won't let me?
Then I'll have my firearm and won't be able to do jury duty.God Bless America and pass the ammunition!

Re: jury duty in Philly
[QUOTE=Im not Batman;2882900]Ok... That's the part I am not up on.
I secure it by:
1. Leave it in the holster and put theWhole thing in locker.?
2. Remove firearm, clear mag and chamber return to holster and secure in locker?[/QUOT
I normally just remove my holster from the belt, with the loaded firearm still secured inside, and put the holster in the locker. I guess technically you can place just your firearm In the locker and keep your holster on. They'll probably give you a hard time about that but it's not illegal. And you have to take your belt off to get through the metal detector anyway to its probably best to just put the holstered gun in the locker.Prior username:EMT-B_Medic Student.
