I'd consider bore specs in search for accuracy. For 44 mag the SAAMI specs the rifle bore a tad larger at .430" and .429" for the pistol.
Most commercial 44 mag ammo utilize .429 bullets. Haven't bought factory ammo for awhile but see by a quick search some .430 is available in jacketed.
I currently handload a 245 gr .432 cast with satisfactory results.Last edited by cephas; June 15th, 2017 at 08:03 AM.

Remember that FMJ is not allowed for hunting...
