at this point all the big name companies are probably all on the same level, and most base their "decision" on personal opinion and choice. ford vs chevy, (they all have the same jokes just switch the company name)
as long as you go with a proven company like the ones you mentioned, also to include ones such as H&K, Sig and so forth you should get all about the same amount of reliability

All the big makers are pretty good to go, and it's more about personal preference. Everyone has issues with their lines at some point, so no one is 100%, but they're pretty close to it.

This has been discussed ad nauseum.

The finest crafted and most reliable .45 made is the JHP45.

The true benefit of the JHP45 is its capacity: 9 rounds plus one aimed throw.

Lycanthrope proved that Hi Points are tough guns long ago. Unfortunately, I don't think the pics are still up in the post. It was epic.

    I couldn't stop laughing.

If I had to choose out of the box reliability I'd pick a Glock, H&K or SIG.

Very few 1911's would meet my definition of reliable right out of the box.
Fine guns, once they are fine tuned.

    But that's a revolver, not a pistol...

Didn't we just have this conversation here a few days ago?
