where to buy an AR in York County?

I'll mention Freedom Armory in southern York County, generally regarded as the spendy place. Nice facilities, lots of stock on new and used, 2 separate indoor ranges, and you can reasonably expect to find better prices. It can be worth stopping in for comparison sake if no other reason. Who knows? You might pick something up off consignment, or a sale.

Also The Gun Bunker all the way down just west of Exit 4, but it's a small place. I haven't been there in a while so I can't tell you much about it.

I bought my Stag M4 from Stonybrook, not a real big place but a good guy to deal with and I think you'll find his prices reasonable. I have never seen him out of stock on ARs.

You should expect these places to be gearing up for the show as mentioned above, and some places will close shop completely the weekend of a show. Keep that in mind and schedule accordingly.

a typical gun store, major customers are LEO's/Departments, but they do
sell to private citizens. Good prices also on LEO/Department trade in's on
pistols. Plenty of accessories for AR's. I shop there often for ammo and
tactical gear.

A little late to this thread... You could purchase it online or buy the parts (lower and upper) and build it yourself. Palmetto State Armory is always a place to start.

East york and west york walmarts have a nice selection of AR's as of late...
