    Default Good day in Gettysburg

Saturday was a good day here in the woods near Gettysburg.

My Mrs. got her new Charter Arms .38 snubbie on Thursday, and on Saturday I picked up a new-to-me Ruger GP-100 and put a Springfield GI Champion on layaway, and my buddy Paul put a Springfield XDM on layaway.

After the trip to the hardware/ gun store we went back to my house and after lunch, went out back and made some noise. We shot:

Charter Arms Southpaw, .38 Special, 2" barrel, left handed; Ruger GP-100, .357 Mag., Stainless, 6" barrel (wickedly accurate!); my carry gun, Ruger P-95, 9mm; Paul's carry, Taurus PT 111 9 mm; and Paul's 12 ga. shotgun (sorrry, I don't know the details). My Heritage .22 SA was on the table, but never even got loaded! Pics of the new toys tomorrow.

We shot off about 300 rounds all together, Mrs. loves her .38, and I could not be happier with the GP 100.

Everyone should have a good day like this. Bummer, but I have to run a load up near Orange County Choppers tomorrow, so bedtime for me.

Sounds like a good day by all accounts. I wish i could get my wife into shoting more. Atleast she has the sense to want to know how to safely operate all the firearms in the house for security reasons.

When I am done these deer heads and fox mounts and cleared up for time, I want to get back together with you guys for a day, more OC and more backyard shooting! I had so much fun with Mal-Lee that 1 day, just us 2 ladies shooting up that scrap wood and further lead poisoning that poor tree! I haven't done any shooting I think since that day, and got another 200 rds 9mm just sitting here, and 100-something .40's.

I saw the post on the other section about Mal-Lee's LTCF, tell her I said congrats, and hope she likes her new gun too. Now it's me waiting for the FL lisc, prob be sept LOL- 90 days- hope its 60 or 45 or something instead.

Of course if you and Mal-Lee are going to come to Shrewsbury way for lunch or whatever, I can meet with you. Let me know if you are gonna be abouts these parts. I can spare the time to just eat and chat.
    LOL, I am a woman...
