I haven't shot with them but the are kinda nice with a blitzkrieg front sight post.

The pair I have are a poly pair and they are very bright and do make target acquisition smoother/quicker (to a degree). The ones I have look different than those. Mine are a little bulky but light weight and pop up quick. They lock in place firmly. With my front one it doesn't fold flush to the rail, but that's minor and could probably contact them about it.

My fav sights are the fixed Daniel Defense...but they are fixed. They'll work well with a red dot, but not magnification. They won't break the bank, either.

I personally was all about the LWRC Skirmish sights for a while. I've always like the HK style front sight. I couldn't justify the higher price tag tho.

Ok, maybe time to think differently. If I'm going with a red dot and not a magnified optic, perhaps fixed sights would be a better choice. In that case I think I'd prefer a lower 1/3 co-witness. Seems like an absolute co-witness might be distracting, but maybe not. When you focus on the target using the red dot, does the front sight 'disappear'?

Kinda does. It becomes something of a ghost.

Got a lead on a NIB set of standard height Troy dioptic folding sights for $150. That's about $30 less than new retail. Only $25 more than the Magpul MBUS, and I do like the push button lock and the aperture 'selector' better on the Troy.
