    Thanks, ar.
I was never really an ar person until 2013. I'm really beginning to enjoy the build aspect and the accuracy that can be had. I built a 6.8 recently which is identical to the 6x45 build and finally found a great load for it. Here are 2 groups during testing. 18 inch barrel on this one.

Probably in the minority here, but my RRA, Entry Tactical has a carry handle and iron sights, and me and the boys love it. I get large sheets of cardboard from work and make targets that are easily seen at 100 and 200 yards. Groupings from all of us are very respectable.

Any other 'old school' fans of irons out there...?

I am. All of my AR shooting is done with Irons.

Nothing wrong with just irons, I have a few myself without optics. Its good to have KISS rifles, IMO it's good to shoot and learn to shoot irons and be proficient.

You can see mine back on page 3 or whatever. BHW barrels are the best deals out there, they all shoot great and priced reasonably.

I'm pretty impressed with my 2. The 6x45 I ordered from them, it was about a twelve week wait. The 6.8 barrel I got through surplus arms and was about 100.00 cheaper then through blackhole. Plus they send ya a free stripped upper to my surprise. Gonna do another but haven't decided on caliber yet. Decisions, decisions. I rarely shoot .556 anymore, wife and kids took that over.
