    Default Ruger Security Six Grips

    Any one out there know of any place to get larger grips for a
    older Security Six 150 - serial # is it possible to modify any of the newer model grips to fit and if so what one would be the best for this.

    Oversized grips for the 150- serial number Sixes are hard to find but not impossible. You just need to keep an eye on GunBroker oe eBay.

    You could get an oversized grip, pull the locator pin on the gun, lay it in the grip and trace the outline and mark for the locator pin. Then drill the new holes for the locator and start removing wood in the grip to get it to fit. Then fill in the voids with an epoxy/wood dust mix, and let it harden. You will then have to start sanding the outside to get it to fit the back of the trigger group area correctly and the top of the frame.
