My edc is a P229 platinum, and I love it. You did well on that one.

You can't go wrong with one of those. A lot of brands I have no interest in buying preowned but any of the classic 220 series pistols I've got no problem doing so with.

I think you did pretty well considering most new ones cost $300 more than that.

Give us a range report if you get a chance to.

Nice looking pistol. Love my 229 and yeah, as mentioned cost about $300 more brand new. Would have jumped on that for the price! Congrats!

    Cool Re: Sig Sauer P229

Good choice my first firearm was a Sig P229. Since then I have gotten other handguns in an attempt for something light weight and small (5 guns), but I always find myself going back to the Sig. You can't go wrong with a Sig by your side.

Went to the range today and i put 100 rounds through it and no failures of any kind. To be honest, i feel like i did better than i ever did with my kimber cdp ii. The only thing that threw me off was the 10lbs double action trigger. Other than that it shoots like a dream.

That's a DA/SA, right? The first trigger pull is always a bitch, but it gets a lot nicer after that first shot. You might be able to have a gunsmith tone down how heavy it is, but it's designed to be heavy on the first pull for a reason. YMMV though.

In any case, glad you're enjoying it.

Looks like perfect condition AND i think finding a "P-Series" without rails is collectible any more.
