    Default Chiappa 22LR Pistol

Looking for an inexpensive plinker and came across this. I like the looks of it and the price. Thoughts?

I own one. I have had nothing but problems. The GSG 1911-22 is a good choice

When I was researching 22 1911's a while back when I bought one - the GSG came out on top so that's what I purchased. Have not had any issues.

I know you would be creeping up in price, but the SIG 1911 22's are worth a look also if you are set on a 1911 style.
Going to be in the $350 range though.

I have one that I won at a gunbash for 1 or 2 dollars. I've not had any problems with mine.

I'm not set on the 1911 style actually.

Just saw the SR22 w/ crimson trace laser, three mags and 222 rds of ammo for $319.99. That's a great deal!

I have one. It is a nice gun. Feels like a standard 1911. The first time I had it out I did have some issues. The slide would not always return to battery. I would just push it forward and shoot it. Over the time at the range it did get better.

I haven't been a big fan of Rugers quality control as of late as i have expressed in another thread, however I did buy my daughters a lavender SR22.

This past weekend we finally got it out to shoot.
Zero break in required, it fed every round from my "variety" box of ammo, it's a EoTech box filled with all those extra .22 rounds you find in your pockets and under your car seat a week after shooting.

This is my limited experience with them.

Then there is always the MK series...
You can do some awesome work on the triggers.

The FFL I work with got in a dozen on a special, sold every one and didn't get any complaints, so like yours I suppose they are a decent little pistol.
Like you mention, they feel a bit more like a 1911 than some of the others.
