    Default R.L. Shockey Colt 1911

Ok, so I have my old 1969 Colt 1911 up for sale & I'm trying to figure out a realistic value on this thing. I took some pics for a guy who's interested. There's a stamp that says R.L. Shockey inside the slide. It has a "mousetrap" on the recoil spring plug. Looks like the bushing might be one of his & the grip has his signature stippling.

Does anyone have any info on these guns or him?

PS - I got this from Dave Keefer's in Pine Grove. I know there's an Army unit based around there.

Thanks, I've been looking at those same articles. They all pretty much have the same basic info on his mods though. Well, at least I know my asking price of $850 wasn't so crazy, though mine looks a bit more worn than some of the others.
