R.L. Shockey Colt 1911
Ok, so I have my old 1969 Colt 1911 up for sale & I'm trying to figure out a realistic value on this thing. I took some pics for a guy who's interested. There's a stamp that says R.L. Shockey inside the slide. It has a "mousetrap" on the recoil spring plug. Looks like the bushing might be one of his & the grip has his signature stippling.
Does anyone have any info on these guns or him?
PS - I got this from Dave Keefer's in Pine Grove. I know there's an Army unit based around there.Last edited by theunrulychef; October 1st, 2014 at 02:07 PM.

Thanks, I've been looking at those same articles. They all pretty much have the same basic info on his mods though. Well, at least I know my asking price of $850 wasn't so crazy, though mine looks a bit more worn than some of the others.
