As an aside, I've asked Kim for this information before (on this very forum). One has to show at a FOAC meeting, be essentially screened, and then maybe you get to see it. Or that was the policy--I'm assuming it holds.

With that said, I maintain that you've posted a link to a document on the internet whose intent, drivers, qualifications of authorship, and criteria cannot be verified on the same medium. "Trust, but verify." I guess I'm not willing to give anyone an intellectual pass even when I ideologically agree. The questions about the guide above (as I said) demonstrate exactly why following these things blind without a way to understand how or why a given recommendation was produced is a bad idea, generally.
The information is the property of FOAC. Each candidate for office in this state is provided a questionnaire and all votes by elected officials are tracked as well as sponsorship of both pro and anti legislation. It's a lot of work. Copies of this info is not randomly going to be made available across the internet.

There's no screening at the FOAC meetings so I don't know where that comes from. If you want to "verify" that is fine but an effort to do so must be put forth. My understanding is that this offer has been made to you before. There is a meeting on Sunday the 11th. If there is a particular candidate you want to know about we'll see what we can do, no promises as things are very busy right now for the volunteers that do the work for FOAC.

It was not my intention to insinuate that you aren't active on issues. FOAC as an all volunteer organization is always looking for help. "Verify" by becoming part of the process would be welcome...

Bartos, can't find much on him:

    https://wagnerbartos.com

    About Jeff
In November 2017, Jeff Bartos joined the Scott Wagner for Governor team as the Lieutenant Governor candidate. In an era where the opioid crisis is devastating Pennsylvania families and family-sustaining jobs remain in short supply, Scott and Jeff are focused on restoring hope and opportunity for all Pennsylvanians. At town halls and meetings across the Commonwealth, Scott and Jeff are promoting economic policies that will help make the staples of a middle class life – home ownership, healthcare, and education – more affordable. They are also fighting for every child in Pennsylvania to have the opportunity to attend an outstanding school of their choice. Jeff is certain that Scott Wagner is the right leader at the right time for Pennsylvania, and he is proud to join Scott’s team.

Jeff is a proven business and community leader. Born and raised in Berks County, Jeff has been a Pennsylvania resident his entire life. Jeff owns a contracting company and several real estate acquisition and development companies active in the Greater Philadelphia market, and has previously served as a senior executive at Toll Brothers, Inc. and Mark Group, Inc.

Jeff and his wife, Sheryl, have two daughters, Emily and Sarah. Jeff and his family are deeply committed to community service. Their charitable work is focused on education and supporting at-risk children. In 2016, Jeff and his wife Sheryl led the fundraising to build a new kindergarten on an Air Force Base in Israel. Jeff has served on the Board of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and is a leader in the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. Jeff supports the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, an organization dedicated to disrupting the financing of terrorist networks around the world.

Tough to find 2A info on this guy.

Among some of the other Republican contenders, State Sen. Rick Saccone led a petition against new gun laws in 2013, under the heading “No Surrender, No Compromise,” and Jeff Bartos, a Montgomery County businessman, said in a statement Wednesday that Casey was using a “tragedy to push for additional laws that would not and will not prevent senseless violence.”

Ivey-Vaughan (too pretty to be a liberal)

    http://dianaforpa.com/the-issues/

    Opioid and Heroin Epidemic
In 2016, the United States lost 64,000 people to drug overdoses. This equates to 174 deaths per day and 7 per hour. We must get tough on drug dealers and pharmaceutical companies.

Diana Irey Vaughan is leading the fight against the heroin scourge in Pennsylvania. Diana Irey Vaughan, as Washington County Commissioner, has sued major pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors who have engaged in misleading promotional campaigns that pushed these highly addictive drugs into our neighborhoods.

Diana Irey Vaughan supports President Trump’s decision to declare the opioid crisis a national Public Health Emergency and supports tough mandatory minimum sentences for drug dealers. Additionally, as a wife of an Army Colonel, Diana supports additional addiction treatment services to veterans and their families.

    https://observer-reporter.com/news/l...4da51c0e6.html

    Reducing Recidivism and Cutting Waste
With prison over-crowding and skyrocketing costs to house inmates, Diana has tackled the issue of recidivism head-on in an effort to save taxpayer dollars.

Diana has led the effort in Washington County to reform the re-entry program for non-violent offenders. Instead of having offenders working out in a gym, in 1997 Diana made it a priority to put these offenders to work in the community for local governments and non-profits.

By teaching these non-violent offenders work skills they are equipped to stay out of prison, and become productive members of society, saving incarceration costs for the taxpayer.

Furthermore, Diana has hosted Washington County re-entry conferences that focus on employment and job training opportunities for non-violent offenders to enter society as productive citizens.

    Jobs and Opportunity
Harrisburg has failed to keep Pennsylvania competitive with other states by ignoring the critical underlying issues that are holding our commonwealth back.

Pennsylvania under the Wolf Administration has:

An unemployment rate that remains above the national average, even with a growing national economy.
One of the worst credit ratings in the nation, which makes the cost for our state to borrow money higher putting more debt on the backs of our children and grandchildren.
Enacted the highest gasoline tax in the nation.
Ranked 49th in quality of transportation infrastructure.
One of highest corporate tax rates in the nation.
Diana Irey Vaughan knows we can do better. Our state has easy access to major economic markets throughout the east coast as well as access to the Atlantic Ocean and Great Lakes. With a rich and vibrant natural history for; agriculture, tourism, quality colleges and universities, and large deposits of oil, coal and natural gas, Pennsylvania needs to seize this opportunity to become prosperous once again.

    https://www.usnews.com/news/best-sta...transportation
    Proud Pro-Life
Diana Irey Vaughan is an unabashed supporter of the unborn and is pro-life. Diana organized the “Stand Up for Life” rally as a County Commissioner and has received support in the past from the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, and People Concerned for Unborn Children.

Diana is committed to a Culture of Life, having instilled strong family values in her three children – Victoria, Frank and Alexandra.

    Protecting the Second Amendment
Diana is a firearms owner and believes in the right to defend oneself from harm. Diana is supported by pro-Second Amendment organizations such as the Firearm Owners Against Crime (FOAC) and was a past committee member of the Mon Valley Friends of the NRA.

Diana is lifetime member of the NRA and can be trusted to protect our right to bear arms.

    Supporting our Veterans
The wife of Colonel Robert Vaughan, who has served for 41 years including 7 mobilizations in 14 years as an Army Reservist, Diana has gone above and beyond in support for veterans.

As a Washington County Commissioner Diana has made important strides to benefit the veteran community. As of January 2018, Washington County has been a leader in veterans claims and submissions.

In 1997, as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Diana instituted the practice of beginning Board of Commissioners public meetings with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. This practice continues today with volunteers from the clergy of various faiths, and veterans in our community.

In January of 2018, Diana ran 39.3 miles to raise money for the The City Mission’s “Patriot House” project that supports homeless veterans with shelter, food, clothing and medical care in Washington County.

    Proven Conservative Leadership
Under Diana Irey Vaughan’s leadership Washington County has enacted conservative fiscal policies that work to keep taxes low.

Washington County Correctional Facility has been within the lowest cost per day of incarcerating inmates, currently ranking second lowest in Pennsylvania at a cost of $46.91 per day as compared to the state average of $123.36
The Washington County pension fund is 90% funded, with one of the lowest assumed rate of returns at 6.75%. The Washington County pension fund is among the most stable pension retirement funds in the state.
In 2004 Washington County ended post-employment health insurance benefits for employees hired on of after April 2014. This eliminated an extremely costly benefit that far exceeded private sector retirement packages.
Diana Irey Vaughan helped to complete the Southpointe Industrial Park development, which created over 8,000 new jobs in Washington County for middle-class families.
Washington County has an S&P AA Bond Rating, a higher rating than the state of Pennsylvania.
    Diana Cares about the Community
When Diana Irey Vaughan is not working as a County Commissioner, she is volunteering her time to causes that express her deep desire to improve the lives of Pennsylvanians.

Diana has been a co-chair for the March of Dimes; taught courses on financial management and life planning for female inmates, danced to raise money for the American Cancer Society and the Watchful Shepard, and has been a guest speaker numerous times at Women’s Business and empowerment symposiums.

Diana also serves on the Pennsylvania Fix the Debt Advisory Board, Washington County Opiate Task Force and the Program Advisory Committee for Penn Commercial Business and Technical School.

In 2011 Diana formed the Washington County Children and Youth Task Force with members of Children and Youth Services, courts, local legislators and law enforcement in an effort to improve services for at risk children and youth in Washington County.

A frequent volunteer with female inmates at the Washington County Correctional Facility, Diana teaches courses on budgeting, credit, financial management, job search, and life planning.

Diana has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards including:

2017 World Class CEO – Southpointe CEO Association
2017 Mon Valley Hospital Gibbons Award for Dimensions in Community Service
2016 -2017 Pittsburgh Business Times – Who’s Who in Energy for Government
2015 American Legion Medal of Honor
    2014 Washington County Athena Award
    2012 Washington County Fireman’s Association President’s Award
1999 Named one of the top “60 Pittsburghers of the Year” by Pittsburgh Magazine
1998 National Society of American Veteran’s Americanism Merit Award
1997 Observer Reporter Publishing Company “Open Door Award”
Zonta Rose Day recipient (estimated late 90s-early 2000)
Mon Valley YMCA Body, Mind, and Spirit Award (estimated late 90s-early 2000)
She’s proven herself in Washington County. Now it’s time to take her solutions-oriented expertise to Harrisburg.
Diana Irey Vaughan is the leader of a new #resistance… resistance to high taxes, to top-heavy bureaucracies, and to limited educational choices. Resistance to high crime rates. Resistance to electing public servants who refuse work to make Pennsylvania the best place it can be to live, work and raise a family.

Vote for positive change for Pennsylvania. Vote for Diana Irey Vaughan for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania.

    Luksik:

    https://www.pa4peg.com/about-peg/

In many ways, Peg is a Pennsylvania girl. She was raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, attended Clarion State University, taught in the Erie area, married a Pittsburgh native, and now lives in Johnstown where she and Jim, her husband of 38 years, raised their 6 children.

Her perspective on the many faces of our Commonwealth comes from that personal history.
Peg has been a driving force in the conservative movement for over 3 decades. She served as an advisor to President Reagan’s Commission on the Family. She founded a non-profit organization to help single parents complete their educations and escape the welfare cycle, which was recognized as a National Point of Light by President George Bush. She hosted a program on education issues on the Free Congress NET television network.

Peg was a founding board member of the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference and the Pennsylvania Family Institute and was instrumental in helping the Pennsylvania Homeschool Association pass our state’s homeschool legislation. An educator who has taught at every level in both special and regular education, Peg has worked tirelessly to protect our children. She was a national leader in stopping Outcome-Based Education and is now actively working across the country to stop its latest incarnation, Common Core.

In America, each of us is a created person, and we have rights because of that creation. Those
rights are not connected to a group or a label, they come to us as individuals directly from the
    hand of the Creator.

That is why the most fundamental right is the right to life, from the moment of conception. No government should be allowed to deny any of us the right to even exist.

The same standard applies to health care. Government run single-payer health care puts our
health care decisions, and therefore our very existence, in the hands of the state. No government should have the ability to decide who gets what health care under what
    conditions.

Our second right as created persons is liberty. It begins with the ability to defend our lives and our property. The Pennsylvania Constitution says that our right to bear arms “shall not be questioned” in response to this truth.

Liberty requires law. Laws must apply equally to everyone from the most powerful official to the
immigrant sneaking across a border. If laws can be ignored or followed at the whim of the state,
    no one is truly free.

"The pursuit of happiness is the ability to become
the persons we were created to be"
This begins with education. We don’t need workforce development centers where our children are pieces of human capital to be trained in job skills. We need schools, chosen by parents, where they receive all the knowledge they need to create their own destinies.

It continues with the ability to own property. The current property tax system that allows the government to sell someone’s home, even if the mortgage is fully paid, for unpaid property taxes makes all of us nothing more than permanent tenants of the state. This is just plain wrong.

Finally, each of us has the right to interact with our Creator. Pennsylvania was founded on religious freedom, and no one should be deprived of the ability to pray or forced to act in violation of their religious convictions.

While we have rights, the state has responsibilities. And empty rhetoric about transparency and accountability is not good enough.

True transparency starts with making sure that we know exactly how much the state is spending and collecting. Every spending item should be included in the budget. Every tax on a purchase, whether alcohol or gasoline, should be clearly displayed on that purchase. Secret spending and secret taxes have no place in a free society.

At the same time, any government body that can collect a fee or levy a tax, like the turnpike commission or the PLCB, should be subject to legislative oversight. Unelected bureaucrats should never have the ability to tax us. I believe the phrase was: taxation without representation…

Government entitlement programs are funded from the pockets of working men and women. Those programs, therefore, should require that able-bodied adults meet the same work and drug-free standards as the private sector for benefits.

America was founded on a heritage of God-given freedom. If we are to preserve that heritage, we must first be willing to proclaim it.

There are other issues you could check out. You don't want a full-Commie if you can get a half-Commie in.
