HARRISBURG, Pa. - Gov. Ed Rendell says he would be interested in serving in a prospective Obama administration as a Cabinet member once he leaves his state office.

In a talk-show appearance on WITF-TV in Harrisburg on Thursday night, Rendell said he "absolutely" is interested in an eventual appointment as head of the federal departments of energy or transportation.


Rendell has repeatedly said he intends to complete his second term, which expires in January 2011, and is not interested in becoming the running mate for Democratic presidential nominee-apparent Barack Obama.

It wouldn't bother me a bit, I'm still pissed because Bush stole Ridge from us for a figure head position. I don't think Obama has a chance, but getting rid of Rendell would be a plus as far as I'm concerned.

Fast Eddy actually did a good job in Philly he got the City government to work.

I thought he would do more for Public transportation than he has , the Public transportation system is in need of some vast improvements.

As far as secretary of energy , he hasn't done a lot there , that I can see.

I doubt that the Democrats will win though, as they seem to be a fractured party.

We are only stuck with him because we (and our Commonwealth neighbors) choose to be.

Remember Gray Davis (the former Governor of California)? The Californians were *stuck* with him only as long as they chose to be.

I do *not* mean to imply that things for California have been just *perfect* since Arnie was elected. My point is only that we (collectively, as Pennsylvanians) are only *stuck* with the elected officials that we choose to be *stuck* with.
