Default 💰7M from state to complete D&L Trail through the Lehigh Valley, and boost new rail-

⛏ Users of the D&L Trail can get from Bristol, Bucks County, to Allentown and from Mountaintop, Luzerne County, to around Catasauqua.

In between there, gaps in the trail require sharing roads with vehicles and generally finding your own way.

Pennsylvania and local officials on Thursday announced $5 million in state funding to close those gaps spanning about seven miles. Another $2 million announced from the state will help improve about seven miles of rail-trail along the western bank of the Lehigh River that, once complete, can form a 14-mile loop with the D&L Trail from the Cementon-Northampton Route 329 bridge to Allentown’s Hamilton Street Bridge, or shorter loops across numerous spans in between.

They need to charge tolls for using these things to come up with funding.
