    Default Anyone try PSA's AR-10 Lowers/Uppers??

If anyone has experience with Palmetto State's Ar-308 platform rifles, please chime in. I must have added their complete AR-10 lower to my cart 5 times over the last week but have been too much of a coward to check out.. I've had several PSA AR15's with very few issues. I figure, for a couple hundred dollars less than bigger named manufacturers, I can have a very sweet looking setup.

This is under $1000 for a complete rifle, shipped..

I'm interested in this as well. I've had great luck with PSA stuff over the years, but I don't have the cash to build a rifle right now.

Will PSA ever come out with a complete AR-10 rifle I can buy from them?

Never had any problems with PSA 's rifles I would say it's a safe bet.

    That's pretty cheap for sure.

It may be good to go...or too good to be true?

    Go for it animal!

That setup looks awfully tempting. I'm sorry I saw that. I'm sure it's not the same as a KAC, but heck.

I'm already putting mine together using Aero Precision receivers, Mega Arms barrel, and Samson rail. It's costing quite a bit more than this PSA rifle and quite a bit more than I originally thought...but that's the way it always goes. It'll look good with a can on the end. It better shoot as good as it looks.

The upper in the link that I posted, looks exactly like the one I bought from them but in 556 form but with a 1/7 twist. Same hand guard and stainless barrel.

I had issues with it right from the start. First, the gas tube was loose and was only firing in single shot form. After that issue was solved, I had issues with spent casings getting stuck in the chamber. The ammo was federal american eagle 5.56. Sometimes the casings got stuck so badly, I had to spray gun oil down the barrel and let it sit for a few hours before the round could be kicked out with a cleaning rod.

This has been the ONLY issue I've had with any of their uppers, and its weird because it was the most expensive upper I've purchased from PSA.

This is the only reason for not jumping on this right now. If they threw up a free shipping code (like the occasionally do) I'd jump on it in a second. They have great deals on AR parts/accessories and even ammo. But for each item you buy, add another $17 for shipping. I even called and asked if they could group shipping and they said no.

I have purchased two ar15 uppers from them with no issue. I have been hearing mixed reviews on the PSA AR10 rifles and components.

This thread from ar15.com references issue experienced with a Geissele trigger and PSA's AR10 upper. Even though the price looks good I myself am rather hesitant to go the 10 route with them, especially it being my 1st one, without possible issues like these being worked out.

This is yet another example of how AR10s are not as plug and play as AR15s.
