    Default SPR/DMR 2-Day Course

1MOA Solutions (www.1MOAsolutions.com) has agreed to host a 2-Day SPR/DMR course in Eastern PA in the month of October (exact date and location is TBD; will update when available). I'm posting this early so that folks get as much advanced notice.

Course will be taught by Adam Wilson who had multiple deployments as a U.S. Army Sniper. His complete bio can be found here: http://1moasolutions.com/mission. If you've always had an interest in precision shooting, this is your chance.

Minimum class size is six and I think we may keep it at 8 max.

2 DAY Special Purpose Rifle / Designated Marksman (2 Day Live Fire Course)

The SPR/DM course will challenge shooters to execute the fundamentals in the most efficient manner possible in order to successfully engage targets from 25 to 600 yards under adverse conditions. Training will begin with a refresher on the basic fundamentals of rifle marksmanship before progressing to data collection, alternate firing positions, and the use of cover and concealment.

Upon course completion students will be able to demonstrate a core understanding of rifle marksmanship and the ability to shoot under both self-induced and exterior induced stress. Training will culminate in a live fire exercise that requires shooters to positively identify, determine the range to, and engage unknown distance targets under a time standard.

    TRAINING OBJECTIVES
    • Safety
    • Equipment selection and placement
    • Loading / Unloading Procedures
    • Weapon Malfunction Clearance Drills
    • Ballistic theory and practical application
    • Building your position, fundamentals of marksmanship, trigger control, recoil management
    • Cold Bore Data and Zeroing of Weapon Systems
    • Target Engagements from 50 to 600 meters (shooter dependent)
    • Shot placement strategy
    • Hold Over / Under Drills
    • Multiple Target Engagement
    • Use of available cover / concealment
    • Alternate Firing positions

Note: A low light / night vision operations component can be included dependent on range restrictions and client requirements.

    REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
    AR15 / AR10 / SCAR chambered in 5.56 or 7.62x51mm
Rifle Scope: A low magnification fixed or variable magnification scope is mandatory for this course. Examples of suitable optics are the Trijicon ACOG, Leupold MK6 1-6 or 1-8, Elcan Specter, Vortex Razor.

    Backpack
    64oz of Water

200 rounds of ball ammunition for close range target engagement

    OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

Note: If available we recommend bringing a spare weapon system to each training course. This prevents students from being unable to continue training if the primary weapon becomes inoperable due to a malfunction.

    COURSE OVERVIEW
    Duration: 2 Days
    Format : Field Environment
Rifle Requirements : AR15/AR10 or SCAR with low fixed or variable magnification optic

There are quality optics that are budget friendly. Adam is doing me a solid traveling to PA to do a course for a small class and for only $250 for the course. You will probably not see a price like that again...

I would love to do this, but aside from money, the "high-end" AR of mine is still in pieces in a box.

PSA has a 50 round boxes of CBC 77gr OTM for $30 plus shipping. So, I'm calculating $305ish for 500 rounds.

$250.00 is an extremely reasonable price.
