M&P 9 apex kit
Looking for info on how hard it is to install the full apex duty/carry kit the 159.00 kit kn my mp 9. I have never done anything like this before. Biggest worry is removing the rear site to replace the seer and spring. The shop had a hell of a time removing the original site and getting my truglo on. I have a hammer and punch kit, but are any other special tools required?

Re: M&P 9 apex kit
I've done it on both my M&P9 and M&P9c. Not that difficult. Take your time. Review the video from APEX. There are other videos out there. I look at them all for different ideas. Don't force anything especially the USB spring as you mentioned. That's the trickiest part. Test the USB after putting the sight back on and make sue it moves freely. Don't force it.
That's it.
I should mention I'm not a gunsmith and never worked on a gun before like this.

Re: M&P 9 apex kit
I have the same tools. Cheap hammer and punch set. It does take some force to get the rear sight of part that is the hardest part. My m&p 9mm just had that and the sear well extremely smooth. I just ok stalled thr kids your talking about In my vtac and went fairly smooth just got to get everything lined up in the trigger assembly and slide the pin through

Re: M&P 9 apex kit
Yes I've been looking at the YouTube videos. Only concern is the sight removal and reinstalling. When I switched sites 2 different gunsmiths told me they couldn't get the new site on without having it machined. The third guy did it but it wasn't easy. I'm worried about not getting the site back on. I guess the newer mp9s ever so slightly changed the size of the rear sight and the tru glos where a bitch to install.

Re: M&P 9 apex kit
I'm doing the Apex kit, Apex trigger and Tru Glos this weekend, assuming the kit arrives in the mail tomorrow. I have the tools but never did anything along these lines before. Hoping it's not too hairy of a job...will let you know.
The Apex vids on You Tube should help but it seems a little disconnected in places. Probably just me.

Re: M&P 9 apex kit
When I did my first one I did not watch the apex video but a couple ransom youtube videos. The random ones were much more clear on what they were actually doing
