Default Troopers shot at Blooming Grove Barracks

Preliminary information I'm getting is that one is dead and another critical. A manhunt is underway in the area.

Still sketchy but it appears they were ambushed in the parking lot at shift change. I've also read statements that the responding ambulance came under fire from the suspect(s).

Damn. Hope they catch the suspects quickly and without further innocents being harmed. Bad deal when they have so much venom they wait and attack the rescuers too.

Will pray for both troopers and their families.

5:15 a.m. UPDATE: State police in Harrisburg have confirmed one trooper is dead and another is injured following a shooting at a state police barracks in Pike County.

No arrests have been made. The names of the victims have not been released.

BLOOMING GROVE TOWNSHIP — State police have confirmed there has been a shooting at the Pennsylvania State Police Blooming Grove barracks in Pike County. The coroner has been called to the scene.

There is no one in custody at this time.

Newswatch 16 has a crew on the scene and we will have more information as it becomes available.

What a horrific ordeal. I hope they catch the person(s) responsible quickly and they "accidentally" fall down a never ending flight of stairs. Thoughts out to the Troopers and their families.

Be interesting to see the motive for this.
