Now I'm mad because I forget what I paid for this rifle.
I usually include that in my post about a rifle because I know I'll forget.
I wanna say it was in the $350-$400 range. I just remember that the price was fair considering the market and that it was in much better condition than any other one I had ever seen for sale locally, so I bought it.
My 1st two WASR rifles were $280 ea back in 08.

It was probably almost 20 years ago. I did get a Spanish M43 8mm with a rough bore for $100 though.

I had the opportunity to shoot this rifle at a group shoot. Definately has a major coolness factor.

Same here, I put a number of rounds through it last year and really enjoyed it. Definitely leaves an impression on the shoulder.

I have its uncle, Emptymag, an original 43 Corona, with a mirror bore. I do shoot it on occasion- having once upon a time owned an FR-8, the 43 is heavier. Accuracy is good, especially with handloads. FR sights are infinitely better than the 43 though. Hey, thanks for the pics to all, they are beautiful. Much appreciated.

I'll try and bring it to the next Pittsburgh shoot. You try to bring your ass on out and you can shoot it again!

I'll likely bring it to the central PA shoot on the 20th since it's one of the few uncommon guns I own. Always fun to let people shoot something other than an AR15.

Cool. I'll be Googling to learn more about that!

I love the FR8 for it's handy size. I'm not a big guy - I love my carbines, and this is closer to carbine length than most surplus rifles.

    Another semi-informative video.

    New info gleaned from watching:
    8.2 lbs
    17.5" barrel

I picked up a FR8 after shooting Hans rifle at a group shoot. He was shooting plastic 308 training ammo and it felt like a .22. I also picked up some training ammo for my FR8. I found it to be pretty accurate out to 100 yards (4-5MOA).

The only thing I don't like about the FR8 is that you can't use a sling to support the rifle when shooting. The pressure created by the sling on the barrel moves the POI around (using standard 308 ammo).
    Toujours prÍt

Group shoots are good for that. LOL
So many of my purchased guns have started out by hearing the phrase "Here, you wanna shoot it?"
