A seller here wants a FTF to sell a Makarov
I have no idea who to contact about this problem. So I am posting it here. I just don't want any one to get in trouble with the ATF or PSP or with the mods.
He wants to sell a makarov in only a FTF transaction. As I understand PA law he and the buyer would need to go to a FFL dealer to complete the transaction. Am I missing something? If not, could someone with authority please contact him if needed. I don't think it is place to correct him with out now all the facts. It does look like a nice Makarov. What he probably means is a ftf at a dealer, meaning he isn't willing to ship.

You can read it for yourself. It is not worded that way. he writes out Face to Face with LTCF and current photo id. If you are at a FFL you don't need a LTCF, just a PA DL.

Ok that makes sense. It just looked wrong. I will let the Mods handle it. Thanks.

If you read between the dotted lines, where all the info is specific to the makarov, it is stated that his price includes transfer and if a lower offer is accepted that the transfer will be on the buyers dime.

Might have been a good idea to just PM the seller and ask nicely what he meant without getting into an offensive tone.
Usually works for me.

Re: A seller here wants a FTF to sell a Makarov
Was that the post where the seller was listing C&R guns?
The Makarov could be C&R eligible. The started making them in 1951. If so - a FTF with a C&R holder would be legal.
IANAL
EDIT: believe I saw the post you are referring to. If it is the correct post the pistol is dated 1986 and does not qualify for C&R.Last edited by Rblakely; September 1st, 2014 at 08:31 AM.
