lCP Fussy Question
Having had the slide of my LCP graciously replaced by Ruger, I've taken pretty meticulous care of this little pistol, field stripping as needed, oiling 2 X a week, polishing all the time with one of my silicone cloths. I noticed yesterday, after going to the range for practice shooting, two gouges in the front frame right under the barrel on either side. A Range master helped me adjust the CTC laser on this but I know that's not the cause. I did buy a De Santis Sof Tuk holster which was extremely tight and had to be broken in by shoving the LCP in and out and then with a sock overnight. I don't even use that holster but there's rough stitching where the adjustable swivel clip is sewn onto a swivel in that same area as one scratch/gouge but it doesn't explain both side scratches/gouges. Could a bullet cause this? I don't think that's possible. I realize things happen and nothing stays new but I like to know why things happen. It's just me. Here are some pics. That mark next to the firing pin is just a smudge. I'm new so this might seem like a stupid question. I realize firearms are tools and get use and show the use but still....Thanks!
and in the Sof Tuk DeSantis holster:

Re: lCP Fussy Question
Someone mentioned it probably is the DeSantis holster.

Re: lCP Fussy Question
Nope got my answer. They also mentioned the dress sock recommended by DeSantis. The dress sock has a seam. That seam could easily cut into the polymer material which would explain the mark on two sides. OK, now that I know I feel better.
