I couldn't believe it but I found American eagle 22's today for $2.49 a box, but there were only "40" rounds per box. looks like the ammo co. like the idea of charging more for less product...

Look on slickguns.com or gunbot.net and you'll see long lists of prices and vendors.

This weekend for instance, Palmetto has brass Fiocchi, Blazer Brass, S&B and Federal 9mm for 10.99 to $12.50 a box of 9mm. Not quite 20 cents a round but close. The steel Russian and factory reloads go for 20 cents a round.

At these prices I called a halt on 9mm reloading and am stockpiling/holding the brass and components for a later date down the road and am putting my time into reloading rifle and .45 ACP.

I've run Blazer aluminum ..with no issues..dirtier ..but it shoots in a PX4

Pretty much my experience as well. I've shot the 9mm, .45acp, and 7.62x39. Very dirty stuff. I had some hiccups with the .45 in a sub-compact, but I chalked that up to it being kind of week and not fully cycling the action. The ones I have tried always went bang though.
