Default S&W 380 Bodyguard laser problem

OK so I changed the batteries and now the laser wont turn on....

YES I have them in right...

in fact as I hold the holder (that sounds weird) and touch the sides, the laser DOES come on... however insert where it belongs

(that sounds weirder) it does not light up.

The rubber buttons do move inward to make contact on the sides.... so I give...

Any suggestions? (Short of sending it back) ???

They had known issues with them. I got a new one for mine.

Email them for instructions on obtaining a replacement. No need to return the gun.

At least not in my case.
