    Default New pa resident here

Hey all. I just moved to bucks county from good ole new jersey. I own guns in nj, and they are still at my registered address. Can you folks please direct me on how to legally bring my guns to my house in pa. Do i need to register? Fill out a transfer form? Please help. And yes, i will be getting a pa drivers license this week. Thanks everyone!

You should be able to just bring them over. Your NJ permit covers you in PA during transport of weapons in your vehicle to your home.

    Welcome to freedom!!

Until you get your LTCF (license to carry firearm...AKA Pa's carry permit/license), get your guns from your NJ house and drive them directly to your PA house.

Once you have a driver license, bring it w/ a few utility bills to Doylestown and apply for a LTCF. They do it on the spot and you can use NJ friends as references, unlike other counties, and I do not think they check them...after you fill out the app the whole process takes as long as the phone call to the state police by the deputy...$20.00 and don't smile for the picture.

As far as moving your stuff pack you empty and cased weapons in the trunk and drive directly to your new home; Welcome to America!

You will feel a weight sliding off your shoulders as you cross that bridge to the free side!

OP neither stated he had a NJ permit nor would one have any effect in PA

OP, unload them and drive directly from your house in NJ to your house in PA

There is an exception for "moving" to a new residence

Don't stop even to pee and don't break any driving laws.

Once in PA, you don't need to do anything with them but enjoy them

Thank you all so much. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with a very happy ex-new jerseyan. I do have a jersey permit (FID) and all my weapons are registered there. Totally legal. But I did feel that relief when I got over the border.

So where to shoot....that is the question!

    Thanks Again
