I'm a .32 acp guy
I have sold all my .380's and 9mm's and now only own a Bersa .32 and a Kel Tec P-32 which are .32 acp. I have decided these two guns will be for home and carry. The .32 acp has very little recoil which allows for quick follow up shots and a .32 with fmj will go thru 4 layers of denim and penetrate 14 inches in gel. I now understand why the .32 was so popular to citizens in Europe for so many years. It is a shame that many Americans choose to ignore the .32 acp. They are very good guns and if someone is recoil sensitive they are easy on recoil.

I'm highly skeptical of Kel Tec products, but even I would not pass up a P3AT for $70. Nice deal.
As for the .32, I have an LCP that fits my mousegun needs. I don't like to rely on it as an only gun, but it's a decent BUG. For a primary SD/HD pistol, I want a 9mm at minimum. My primary carry pistols are Glocks in .40.Last edited by bluetrane2028; August 17th, 2014 at 01:27 PM.

Re: I'm a .32 acp guy
My name is Gonzo, and I'm a .32 slut. My safe contains a number of .32ACP (or 7.65mm if you prefer) pistols ranging from a Model 1914 Mauser that saw service in WWI to a North American Arms Guardian from 2012 (my summertime EDC). The majority are Walthers, but I also have a Savage, an Ortgies, and a SIG. They all shoot and they all go to the range several times a year.
When I carry a .32 (the Guardian or an Interarms PPK) it's loaded with Buffalo Bore 75g hardcast, the hottest .32 round I know of. I do NOT shoot it in my vintage guns because of the pressures and because it costs $1.35 a round!
I agree 100% that the inherent controllability of the caliber even in pocket guns can be, with a proficient operator, a very effective personal defense weapon. With the Buffalo Bore's proven 18-inch penetration and the ability to place shots on target because of the lighter recoil it provides quite satisfactory service. Now I do sometimes carry my P239 9mm if my wardrobe is sufficient to hide it, but I usually just pick up a .32.-gonzo, SoCenPA. "Before all else, be armed." --Niccolo Machiavelli

A variety from a Mauser 1914 through a number of Walthers (both No 4 and PP series) plus CZ50, Ortiges, FEG etc. Fun to use and since I reload, cheap to rum. Dave_n

I've always liked the .32ACP as well. I don't know why I like it, but I do.
That's good enough for me.
