Default No More Gun Dealer Online!

    Directly from Lancasteronline:

An East Hempfield weapons dealer has been charged with making consignment gun sales and not providing payments.

East Hempfield Township police on Friday morning charged 37-year-old John Radzik with a felony count of theft by deception, court documents show.

Radzik allegedly accepted 45 guns for consignment sales, sold some of them, but failed to pay the seller, police said.

Police said they are investigating further claims of criminal activity regarding sales and could file additional charges.

District Judge Brian Chudzik arraigned Radzik at 10 a.m. and set bail at $10,000, which Radzik has posted.

Defense lawyer Janice Longer said Radzik’s business was failing and he has closed the store, Lancaster Armament at 823 Rohrerstown Road.

Radzik, who also sells online under the name Gun Dealers Online, will continue to do that, his attorney said.

“John is working very diligently to satisfy all his outstanding orders and refund money for orders he can’t fulfill,” Longer said after the arraignment.

Numerous customer complaints regarding Radzik can be seen in online forums.

    One customer posted:

“I ordered a gun from John Radzik at Gun Dealers Online a month ago. I've made six calls to him. He took my hundreds of dollars, but never sent anything.”

Passed it hundreds of times...never stopped in. Wasn't even sure it was a shop for the longest time.

No big loss from what I've heard.

After being out of the area on orders for 10 months, I drove by this place recently and wondered how it was doing. I used John to accept a K31 from a online dealer years ago, when he was operating out of his house, which I only found out about when I showed up to do the paperwork and pick up the rifle. Seemed alright back then, but the one time I did drop in his shop once it opened, I thought prices were high and it seemed as if he was trying to get a market on the high end tactical.

I do not know the business nor the owner, but such dishonest activity will probably have the ATF coming to check the records of his business still active, as well as the business that was shut down. The gun business is under scrutiny by the federal government when such FFL conducts oneself in a reputable fashion, much less than one that does not. A can of worms this gun dealer may very well have opened.

Angry Re: No More Gun Dealer Online!

Is there a way for people to get money back from Radzik/GDO if they paid for items and never received them?

    Thanks,

You'll probably need to file a civil suit. It's at least worth a phone call to the PD of the township they resided in. I'm not sure if that's Lancaster Township (which would be Manhiem township PD) or if it's East Hempfield. It's probably East Hempfield.

I filed complaints with the LA BBB and the FTC after I got ripped off by a site called ASPI tactical in LA, California.

About a year later I got an email from a Federal Prosecutor in Texas, she wanted to know what happened. I told her my story and sent her a copy of my online order that I had kept. A few months later I got a check in the mail and a letter that said he'd be in jail for a while and thanks for my help.

Luckily, that was the only time I got burned online and it worked out for the best in the end. It taught me a valuable lesson to check reveiws of places that I haven't dealt with before.
