My neighbor is looking to purchase a 22 caliber pocket gun.
    Any recommendations would be appreciated.
    Thank you

Just curious, why does he want a 22 when there are better options available stopping power wise? Also, 22 ammo is pretty hard to find. If he is dead set on a 22, the Beretta Bobcat would be a nice gun to take a look at IMO. American Arms makes some nice little 22s too

I wouldn't recommend a semi auto rimfire for self defense.

If I was limited to .22 because of an injury or something like that, I'd grab a Ruger LCR in .22.

22 is American arms specialty. Great pocket guns.

I just picked up a Beretta Bobcat Inox. It is a superbly made little gun. Tell him to get one, load it up with CCI Stingers or minimags and carry away.

A .22 will bounce around like a pinball in a body and follow bones that it hits. A very nasty and underestimated round. I wouldn't feel underarmed carrying my Bobcat alone in my pocket with an extra mag.

Just keep the Beretta immaculately clean before carrying as it has to rely on pure blowback to eject the empty. Biggest reason I sold mine. That and the low cap mags.
All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

NAA mini revolver with holster grip, because there is absolutely no excuse not to have it on you all the time.

I agree with your assessment. I have both a Walther TPH and a Beretta 21A. Both eat Stingers without any issues.

My first autopsy that I witnessed years ago (mid 1970's) while training was a 22 shot to the chest of a large male subject. The bullet hit a number of organs killing him quickly. Old Doctor Fillinger explained how high velocity and low mass caused the "pin ball" effect causing the fatal wound.

Yep. Have carried one for years. Also one of the best firearm companies I have ever dealt with!
