    Default Opinions on gun control powerpoint presentation

    My buddy and I are doing a power point presentation on gun control (AGAINST IT), for our required class Technical Communication. The arguments must include Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. Ethos, meaning image, ethics, trustworthiness and credibility; Pathos, meaning emotion and logos, meaning logic. We already have some ideas such as serial numbers on bullets to banning them altogether. We are looking for any other gun control arguments with great points that we could include.

    We already know we will be criticized by our peers in the class for loving our firearms and our freedom, but we will educate to the best of our ability.

    In addition to the previous responses, I think the thing that might hit home with an audience is the fact that when our 2nd is fucked with, the 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th and 11th are next in line. The Antis always seem to be the people who deride the 2nd, yet bitch and moan everytime the 1st and 4th are in question. Rather than give a totally pro-gun presentation, I'd turn it around and preach the bigger picture and hopefully get some people thinking. Cause in the end, it's not really about firearms, it's about rights.

    Not really sure I can add much other than just some points to ponder (which you've probably already come up with);

    Ethos: Credibility point, England and Australia both saw increases since banning guns and those increases have continued every year. States with the strictest gun control laws are among the highest for gun related crimes.

    Pathos: Emotion point, proven failure to reduce crime makes them little more than "feel good legislation"

    Logos: Contrary to the propaganda, taking someones ability to defend themself away through legislation does not make them safer bc criminals ignore it.
