    Default Best way to sell your guns

    Any suggestions on the best way to sell your guns and to find the fair value.

    I have the following to sell

    1) 12 ga Browning citori
    2) 45 cal. Colt Commander
    3) 22 cal. Colt Diamondack

    I do not know what they are worth or how to go about selling them.

    Thanks
    Kyle

    Kyle, check out gunbroker. That will give you an idea of what they are selling for. Once you decide on selling price you can post them for sale here in the for sale section. In PA, you can do a face to face sale with long guns but you must go through an FFL to transfer ownership for pistols.

    Find or find someone who has a Bluebook of Gun Values to get an idea of what your stuff is worth. As listed you have some nice, desirable stuff there. With that knowledge you can;

    Walk in to a dealer's shop but expect far less (25-30%) than "retail" value.

    Various on-line auction boards ie gunbroker.com

    Place a WTS ad on various on-line gun ad boards ie Sturmgewehr.com

    Bone up on fed and state firearms regs regarding selling/buying/shipping etc. before you proceed.

    GunsAmerica.com is another good place to look. Most items there are priced for sale, not auction. It can give you a ball park figure as to the current "True Market Value" i.e., what people are paying these days. Gunbroker.com is mostly auction. They have a lot of "buy it now" prices, but they are usually higher than TMV. Gunbroker is nice because you can set the minimum bid or reserve like Ebay, and then you don't have to settle for anything less than what you're willing to part with them for, but I'd try to find a price and try to sell it here first to you virtual buds.
    You are a straight white man. You don't get to be the victim, sweetie.

    oh, i'd say about $100 for the bunch. Since I'm such a nice guy though, i'd be glad to give you $150. Seriously though, those are quality firearms (in my opinion), depending on the condition you could have a decent amount of cash (relative to my current cash flow) coming your way.
