I attended this training on 9/10 in Warminster PA. I am no expert but I personally try to learn all the laws pertaining to owning and carrying a firearm. So going Into this class I wasn't completely lost. It started out well until their program attorney Justin McShane stated that it was illegal to open carry a firearm in the city of Philadelphia. I currently live in Philly and have heard stories and read post about people open carrying and how it is legal although most people are unaware. He also again repeated this statement a second time later in the seminar. I was under impression that having you license to carry ( which he repeatedly called a conceal carry permit) firearms was the exception you needed to be able to open carry in Philadelphia. After that point I took everything he said with a grain of salt. Also about half way threw it turned into a bit of a commercial with them wanting you to buy there insurance. I personally wouldn't take this class again nor recommend it to anyone else.

Thanks for the report, Sparky. I was intending to go, but I really didn't want to sit through an infomercial.

I was there also, and I almost called him out on that. I got some clarity on a couple of things, so I don't feel like it was a total waste of time.

Thanks for the review. Busy with my family most weekends and wanted to go, but won't feel too bad about missing out on it.

I would like to find a good gun law seminar someday. There's no such thing as too much training and preparation.

Thought I'd necro this since there is one of these seminars in Cranberry Twp tomorrow night. And in December. Sounded a bit too cheap to be entirely on the level.
