Re: Carry Question for the group
I did not have any MIL problems at my wedding. Unfortunately my wife's mothers is about %99 out of the picture and did not attend. My mother kind of stepped in but did not overdo it and my wife and I got the wedding we wanted. I told the grooms men "Pick up the tux ASAP, make sure it fits, show up dressed at this time, and don't fuck up" they did exactly as told. The bridesmaids on the other hand wanted to do way to much shit their way. "I don't like these shoes." "I want a flower in my hair." "Cluck cluck cluck cluck cluck." That caused a bit of bridezilla and they all STFU and got in line.

Re: Carry Question for the group
Fathers' opinions carry no weight at all at the wedding. Groom's opinions are the same level as your dog's opinion about whether or not he should chase that rabbit or get in here now, damnit.
The opinions that really count are those of the mother of the bride and the bride, in that order.

I'd switch that order, but you're right, that's how Mothers-in-law work.

Guns and weddings.... Sounds like a good time.
I second the idea about figuring out what the bride wants.... I say, if she has no issue with you OCing on her wedding day... then everyone else can piss off....When you are called a racist, it just means you won an argument with an Obama supporter.

Every time I read about carrying at a wedding it reminds me of this video.

Re: Carry Question for the group
Let me just unholster my carry firearm and give it to a toddler and see what happens. I'm sure he thought he checked it and he thought it was unloaded.
I'm very particular about clearing and checking a firearm to show someone even in a controlled environment and I still refuse to unholster my carry firearm in any place that is not controlled like my house or range."No, it's just a machine. I'm the weapon." - Jack Harper in Oblivion

Skeet is a sport where you are better to hit half of each bird then completely blast one and miss the other completely.
The choice is yours, place your faith in the court system and 12 of your peers, or carried away by 6 friends.
