    Default ?9mm Luger?

Most of the time i buy UMC 9mm bulk packs. but last night i was at Wal-Mark and they had Winchester White box on sale for $18.42 for 100 rounds so i bought 3 boxes. I get home and much to my surprise the Winchester rounds are a lot bigger than my other 9mm the case is a hair bigger and the build is a lot longer.

Is this something to worry about or is it just the difference in the brands they are the same 115 GM FMJ

You sure they're not 9mm Largo? Sounds like it. Does it say 9x19 (Luger) or 9x21 (largo)?

Length wise, they're fine. Walmart doesn't sell the 9x21's.///////..

i think its just a difference between brands. I found that the white box didnt feed well in my sigma, but then again not much does.

I did the exact same thing on tuesday. I took my daughter to the range, stopped at wally world to get some more 9mm and .22mag ammo and got the $18 box.

I go to the range, look at the box and it says 9mm Luger. My Sig says 9mm Para. I don't know if there is a difference, so I loaded up a mag and worked the action a few times, no hiccups.

100 rounds later, no problems whatsoever.

For future refrence, is there a difference in 9mm Luger and 9mm parabellum?

9mm Luger and 9mm parabellum are the same. Parabellum means For War.

    And I shoot 9 x 18 Makarov. There's even a 9 x 25 Dillon floating around out there.

I have noticed this with 9mm also. Some of the rounds I have laying around are just a bit shorter than most of what I have. One brand happened to be the UMC stuff and the other is the WWB....no difference really. As long as it has the correct designation for your gun, Shoot it up and don't worry about it.

It didn't seem so long ago that a common question in reloading forums was, "is it worth the time and money to reload 9mm?" There is no doubt anymore!
