York Co LTCF
I'm moving from Berks Co to York Co and wanted to know about obtaining my LTCF in York. I have a current Berks Co issued LTCF, does this transfer or do I need to apply in York for a new one?
If I have to get a new LTCF in York what are the requirements?

Your current license is good until it expires (or is revoked). You don't need to transfer anything.
You should notify the issuing sheriff in your old county of your updated address so he will (hopefully) send you the statutorily-mandated renewal application when your current license is about to expire. (Also so he can notify you if he for some reason decides to revoke it. You're on the hook whether you know it's revoked or not, if he's sent a certified notice to your address on file.)
When it's time to renew you will do so in your new county of residence.I am not a lawyer. Nothing I say or write is legal advice.

You current ltcf is still ok to use until it expires.
When you do renew in York county. The easy way is to fill out the form along with the contact form and mail it in. They will then contact you to come in and pick it up. Normally you'll get an email few days after you mailed it in.
They stay open longer for picking up your ltcf and open Saturday morning for picking up also. You can apply in person and they process it while you wait but you need to get there before 4pm.

Re: York Co LTCF
Lately they have not been processing while you wait, they have been saying they are just too busy. I took mine in there and they accepted it and said I'd hear from them in a couple days. Dropped it off Friday, got the letter Saturday, went back Monday. Seems stupid but that's what they're doing. This was last December for my renewal. I've been hearing the same from others for about the past year.
They're quick, just not while you wait quick. While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I agree with what Curmudgeon said. I wasn't serviced while I waited but next day I picked it up. Not sure if a renewal will be easier, though. It seems to be very gun friendly here, which is a plus. Welcome to town.
