Pistol range use at Lower Providence Gun Club?

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone (particularly competitive pistol shooters, IPSC, steel challenge etc) can enlighten me on the outdoor pistol range policies at Lower Providence gun at their outdoor pistol bays? Are you able to take your own steel or IPSC targets and set them up in a bay to run some practice drills? Can you set up some static steel targets and practice your own steel challenge drills? I notice the bays are open (no target stands etc) so are they pretty much wide open for member use? Thanks in advance for any input.


Years ago I was a member at the York Izaak Walton before moving to this area and you were allowed full use of any of the pistol bays when there was no competition going on. If you want to set up a whole stage and run drills by yourself all day it was fine. Looking for somewhere around here where that can be done.

No you cannot bring your own steel. Cardboard and paper are fine.
You must shoot from the benches (the bays at either end of the range are not for general use).
The target stands are there leaning against the wall.
No moving while shooting or drawing and shooting for ordinary members.
