The possible titles are endless. Just my opinion but there are many other (better and more accurate) options for a headline than "Doc Shoots Patient". You could also replace "Doc" with other terms such as legal gun owner, hero, quick thinker, just a guy who was lucky enough to be prepared....

Yes, the headline is factually correct but let's face facts, opinions are often formed without all the facts. This headline sounds like it came from CNN or the New York Times.
