    Default Rangefinder

Any suggestions/recommendations on a relatively good quality range finder under $300.00?

Looking for something that ranges at minmum 500 yd. to perhaps 800 yd.?

Any info., would be greatly appreciated.

Are there restriction on using laser rangefinders when hunting or is the regulation against lasers for aiming ?

Rangefinders are ok for hunting... You just can't use a laser aiming device. (projected laser dot onto the target)

I use this one for 3-Gun ... seems to be pretty good so far. When talking to the sales guy at Cabelas he recommended this one over some more expensive models such as the Nikon lineup.

Buy the Vortex may be a little more money but a no questions lifetime warranty is hard to beat. I had 2 Nikon Monarchs one quit after 1 1/2 years the other one the front casing keeps coming apart. The warranty is 2 years.
