smoother action on my bolt gun?
I recently purchased a weatherby vanguard II bolt action, and while it's one of the smoothest actions in my collection, I want to make it more smooth.
What would you guys suggest I do to get the action running smoother? I could look it up on you tube, or Google, but I'd like to get into a nice discussion on here about the issue.
Thanks in advance guys"Do not use K-9 advantix on cats"

Re: smoother action on my bolt gun?
There's lapping, polishing raceways, all kinds of topics you'll find online.
Me, I keep it simple but I'm not that picky on my action's cycling. I thoroughly clean the action, then lightly lube the bolt/raceways/lugs, get a beer and sit on my couch watching tv while cycling the action a couple of hundred times. Recently picked up a Marlin, which was a bit rough cycling and this "wearing" it in procedure smoothed it right out."If guns cause crime then all of mine are defective." -Ted Nugent
