Northampton County exec picks three for cabinet
New sheriff, directors of administration and fiscal affairs named

Dalrymple recently retired from the New Jersey State Police as a major. A highly accomplished detective, his last posting was as commanding officer of the intelligence section, directing the efforts of more than 200 detectives, analysts and support staff. His 25-year career in the state police includes serving in the major crime unit and the missing persons and child exploitation units, as well as chief of the official corruption bureau. In 2007, Dalrymple was named Trooper of the Year. “I am thoroughly pleased to have a law enforcement professional of this caliber lead our sheriff’s department,” said Brown. “The citizens of Northampton County can be confident and secure in David’s leadership.”
