    Default Jumped ship, already!

So, I went to go shoot my XDm the other day at Heritage Guild. It's the only place I could find that was open, that didn't require a membership. In shooting the XDm, I liked it. I sucked with it, but I liked it. I felt like it was shooting low and it was most likely how I was shooting it. Then I shot a Sig P229 in .40 and that was much nicer than the XDm. So I did what any normal person would do, and I traded the XDm, for this:

It is a DAO, not a DAK, so converting it back to SA/DA should be pretty easy. Will I miss the XDm? Maybe a little, but that will pass.

Ahh if it just a tiny bit more color. It looks too much like a black hammer or something. But hell I'd take it

Nothing wrong with jumping ship 'long as there's no sharks around.

We ended up selling or trading a lot of pistols we owned once we settled on a style of pistol we liked. Fortunately, we didn't take a beating on anything. You have to go with what feels good to you and helps your confidence, even it if costs you a little green...something I hate to dispense with.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Sig's 229 and 239 are on my short list for upgrading my carry guns. Your buying quality with Sig. Good luck with it.

Good trade! When you convert the thing to DA/SA, get the SRT (short reset trigger) kit too. The stock Sig trigger is not great, but it is a proven design.

Like an AR, once you get a Sig in your locker, they do tend to bring their friends along.

Yeah I see an FDE P229 in .40. That is the plan for this one after I do the DA/SA conversion. Should cost me less than $70 in parts to do so. I am guessing that it shouldn't be much harder than doing a FCG in an AK.
