Default OCing in the Philly Airport

I'm picking up relatives in Philly next week and I want to know if I will likely get hassled for OCing in the Philly airport. I know it's legal, but has anyone done it? Also what are the laws regarding rest stops on the turnpike... I'm assuming all legal as well?

One of those situations where, even though you CAN do it, doesn't mean you SHOULD do it.

I believe lprgcfrank OC through the Phila airport weekly.

The Turnpike/buildings are State property, so should be fine.

I am huge perponet of Open Carry where ever you please. That being said, OCing to an Airport is even a little far for me. But if you want to go ahead, just be prepared for the onslaught of bullshit that will fly at you.

Well I stand corrected on this one. I just talked to my Father in Law and he said he knows of a guy who OC's to PIA all the time. He never catches any guff or bullshit. I find that very interesting.

That's my concern, I really don't want to be a shit magnet while I'm OCing... handing out a flyer now and then to a curious passerby going about my daily activities is different. The Philly airport seems to be one of those places that I'll attract a lot of unwanted attention, and I'll be doing more then handing out flyers. If everyone thinks it'll be a problem I'll likely CC, or just pick them up from the pickup area and stay in the car.

Reality is often much different than perception.

The times I OC'd in Phila it was the same as anywhere else (except Dickson City )

There are a few places I will personally not open carry. Daycare, work, and church. It's just the atmosphere in these places that I feel that I'd more than likely be explaining a lot and I really don't like doing that except for the occasional "What’s that" question. The Philly airport just seems like one of those places that I’ll attract a lot of unwanted attention by LEO’s and other people. I've done my fair share of OCing in stores, gas stations, restaurants etc... and never had a big issue. I think OCing everywhere I legally can is still a ways down the road for me. It was a big step to even OC at the store... I'm sure I'll be confident enough eventually to OC everywhere I can legally.
