Target Caved
http://247wallst.com/retail/2014/07/...bans-firearms/
In a post on the company’s official blog site, Target Inc. (NYSE: TGT) said that beginning July 2 the stores will “respectfully request that guests not bring firearms into Target — even in communities where it is permitted by law.”

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: Target Caved
Now we need to smash their Facebook page every day, all day, and twice on Sunday like the Mom's Demand morons did. This is beginning to set dangerous precedent, where these companies feel that it is socially acceptable to do this. It needs to stop.
There's no such thing as a free lunch.

Re: Target Caved
I think these companies may see this type of policy as the best of both worlds. They request customers to not bring firearms into the store. So the freedom loving, patriotic citizen can still bring a firearm in without being asked to leave, and the store can tell the close minded, scaredy cat antis that they have made the request.

I OCed in Target this past Sunday. Nobody noticed.
Derpin’ Carry Texas Strikes Again: Gets Open Carriers Booted From Target Stores Nationwide
So far, moronic long gun open carriers have forced the following corporations into the position where they’ve felt compelled to ask gun owners to leave their firearms at home:
■Chipotle
■Jack in the Box
■Starbucks
■ Target ( we’re waiting on the official statement)
This is a long chain of public relations defeats that is souring people nationwide on not just the open carry of long guns into private businesses, but is turning people who have given the issue little to no thought to the issue against open carry in every form, everywhere.
Nicely done, jerks.

Re: Target Caved
Not a surprise considering the local Targets have Starbucks inside of them.
Most Target customers turn up their noses at Walmart because of the customers it tends to attract. I do cringe occasionally (York stores) but it doesn't bother me, I'll support them because they support me and I save money as a bonus. I just don't understand the hate for Walmart because they're big and everywhere. To me, that's a great American success story. Those same hypocrites go to Target though.
side note - I just heard some Libtard who gets her political guidance from Bon Jovi say she's boycotting Hobby Lobby. :doh:Last edited by alpacaheat; July 2nd, 2014 at 12:17 PM.
