CZ75B throws brass a ridiculous distance
As the subject says, my CZ75B ejects brass something like 10-15 feet. at. At steel shoots, they don't even land on the tarp that is stretched put for the purpose of catching ejected brass. It does this with all kinds of factory loads.
This can't possibly be normal, can it? Anybody else experience this?

Re: CZ75B throws brass a ridiculous distance
I've had brass do everything from hit me in the face to land 26 feet away. I've seen it land in front of me and behind me. It's not odd for brass to go anyplace.

Re: CZ75B throws brass a ridiculous distance
Honestly who cares how far it goes as long as it's out if the gun and a good round is loaded in the chamber. Guns are tools for protection and in my opinion if it's throwing brass that far there is little chance for a stove pipe.

Re: CZ75B throws brass a ridiculous distance
I have to agree with Klutch on this one.
My Sar K2 launches them about 25-35 feet at about 4:00 pretty consistently. It sucks when I'm shooting at the bench all the way on the right and have to search through the picker bushes to try and find my brass. I almost never get them all. It can be annoying but again, as long as it's functioning well, I don't care. Well, mostly.
On the other hand, my Sig AR puts them all in a nice little pile about 6 feet away. All guns have their own idiosyncrasies, best not to overthink it too much and put your focus into making holes in the center of your targets.

My CZ75A and 75B both ejected brass as Don Q describes. In fact, at one range to which I belong, brass would land in the next county. Well, at least two benches over. Sorta like a Galil rifle.

There is nothing wrong with your Cz. I own over 18 cz's and Cz clones and work on customer Cz's as well at my shop constantly. The Sar pistols will launch the brass farther than the CZ's .
